Robert Wilson Terminal

Preliminary plans for the staged upgrade of Parkes Regional Airport were developed with Rehbein Airport Consulting. The concept plans were incorporated into both the Airport Master Plan (by Rehbein) and to support an application by Parkes Shire Council under the Regional Development Australia Fund (RDAF).
Council subsequently commissioned the Stage 1 of the terminal expansion. The completed project establishes a new gateway to the region, providing a unique and contemporary facility that integrates the existing structure. The works included increasing the Departures Lounge area, Check-in and Baggage collection areas and upgrade of existing amenities. The expansion is being developed to allow for the potential introduction of Security Screening and expansion when required by longer term growth in passenger numbers.
