Morgia-Giffen were part of the successful Multiplex bid team for the new Western Sydney International Airport, Sydney’s new airport which will accommodate up to 10 million passengers a year.
Morgia-Giffen were engaged as the Border Agencies Fitout Architect. The project includes specialist back of house operational spaces, and in collaboration with the Terminal Architects, Woods Bagot, fit out of Border Agency front of house processing areas - Secondary Examination, Emigration and Immigration. The project involved extensive brief development and stakeholder consultation with Australian Border Force and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry .
Morgia-Giffen led detailed collaboration with a large consultant and subcontractor team, including specialist physical and electronic security, integration with the terminal base building and intensive BIM coordination.
Construction was completed in 2025, with the first flight in 2026.
